For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted a little place on the internet that felt like mine.
I’ve actually made several of them.
And then abandoned them.
Apparently this has been a fifteen-year hobby of mine. Start a blog. Fuss with the blog. Decide the blog isn’t quite right. Stop writing the blog. Miss having a blog. Repeat.
This time, though, my husband watched me trying to build one and said, “Okay. Give me your vision.”
So I did.
I told him how I wanted it to feel. Feminine and cozy and a little nostalgic. A place for the things I love, the things I’m thinking about, the things I’m watching and wearing and buying and noticing. Not one perfectly defined version of me. All the parts.
And then—he actually built it for me.
Which was incredibly romantic.
And mildly terrifying.
Because suddenly I had the thing I’d been saying I wanted.
A beautiful little house on the internet.
And my immediate instinct was: Okay, now I have to make it perfect before anyone comes over.
But I’m trying something different this time.
I’m going to live here first.
I’m going to put things in it.
A thought. A lipstick. A book I loved. Something pretty for the house. A television show I need someone else to talk about with me. A photograph from an ordinary Sunday. Maybe occasionally something bigger that’s been sitting on my heart.
Some rooms might be a little empty for a while.
That’s okay.
You don’t have to finish a house before someone comes over.
So if you’re reading this, come in.
Please don’t inspect the baseboards.
Sit at my kitchen table instead.
I’ll make coffee.
Welcome to Lipgloss & Sundays.
xoxo,
Nat

Parenting a Teenager
Raising a teenager is hard work. I miss the days where they thought I was their everything, and just wanted to snuggle with me in bed, watch a movie or play with toys. Instead now it’s “you’re ruining my life”, “I hate your rules”. Bruh moments. And to be honest. It’s exhausted. I have to keep reminding myself, it’s okay if he doesn’t like me right now. We aren’t going to be friends… at this moment in life. But as I remind my son, it’s okay if you don’t like me at times. It’s not going to change my love for him. Anyways… this message is just to all you moms of teenagers… I see you, and we got this! And just like the potty training season, or sleepless nights this too shall pass… until then, pray for me 😂

Lipgloss and Sundays Meet Everyday Nat
I spiraled down the dreamy aesthetic version of this blog. And well in making it so cutesy I lost the everyday Nat part of this blog. The whole reason behind blogging. It became too perfect too cutesy too dreamy that I lost the nerve to even write here.
